 Françoise Bettencourt Meyers is a French heiress and philanthropist who was born on July 10, 1953, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. She is the daughter of Liliane Bettencourt, the heiress of the L'Oréal cosmetics empire, and became the chairwoman of the family holding company, Téthys, in 2017.

Bettencourt Meyers studied literature and received a degree in Bible studies from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. She has also authored several books on Jewish-Christian relations, and serves as the president of the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation, which supports scientific, cultural, and humanitarian projects.
