John Farnham Hospitalized Again

 

Australian music icon John Farnham has been admitted to the hospital with a respiratory condition. This comes after Farnham had surgery to get rid of a tumor in his mouth last year and has been getting better treatment, care, and recovery in recent months. Farnham's family has released a statement stating that he is "agreeable and receiving the best consideration" and responding well to treatment.

Since the latter half of the 1960s, when he was billed as the youth icon "Johnny Farnham," Farnham has served as a foundation for Australian entertainment. He has received 19 ARIA grants, and in 1987, he was named Australian of the Year and Official of the Request for Australia. Farnham's 1986 assortment Mumbling Jack, featuring the single You're The Voice, remains the second-most raised selling assortment in Australia, behind Meat Part's Bat Out Of Hopelessness (1977).
